What Is Color Street?
Color Street is 35 years old this year and has come a long way since Fa Park launched the New York-based company back in 1984 after viewing someone from a bus trying to apply their nails varnish in the back of a moving taxi.
So firstly, hats off to Fa Park and the Color Street team for making it 35 years in business. Let’s dive more into their products and why you having really visited this article for and that is can you actually make real money with Color Street?
What Does Color Street Sell?
Nails Nails and more nails are the short answer.
In fact, they are pre-made nail strips that can be easily applied by yourself. The sets start from just $11 for basic colors with slight increases in price for different designs.
Here are the design ranges you can choose from:-
- Solid Colors
- French Manicure
- Glitter Designs
- Nail Art Designs
- Glitter Dipped
- Clear Nail Art
They also have nail collections for different occasions such as Fall, Halloween, and a Patriotic Collection
Meaning you get a quality product that lasts longer and doesn’t require the skills of a qualified technician to apply them. Every female loves changing her nail color, so I can see why these products have been around for this length of time already.
The company itself is strongly against any animal testing and are looking to get certified as Vegan and Gluten-Free.
One disadvantage is they are only currently operating in the United States of America.
Can You Really Make Money with Color Street?
So can you really make serious money with Color Street? Well, the short answer is yes you definitely can. I will tell you why to keep reading.
Upon researching this I was taken back when the promotional video was more focused on the products than just ramming stats about what you can earn from joining. Wow, that was refreshing well done Fa Park and the marketing team. Yes, of course, they still had testimonials from company reps but it was done very well.
Anyway, I digress back to the subject.
Let’s look at the figures when it comes to making money withy Color Street. As you can see from the average earnings report a Stylist is only earning around $113 a year from this opportunity.
Some Ways of Making Money With Color Street
Obviously, word of mouth is key to any network marketing business, but many fail as they run out of people to chat with. With that in mind let’s give you three alternatives to generating leads for your business.
- Set up a fashion beauty blog – Blogging can be time-consuming but on the flip side, you can build a very targeted list of leads and customers if you do it right. There is a lot to learn about blogging and make money so I would recommend a site like Wealthy Affiliate and their University of training.
- Pinterest – This site can drive massive traffic back to your details on Color Street. By using amazing images and adding a link back to your site. There are a few great techniques that you can apply which will help you to succeed much faster. Check out my Pinterest Strategies that you can start straight away.
- Instagram page – The final one I would suggest would be to social network giant Instagram again a visual platform mainly so this lends itself brilliantly to Color Street. Don’t forget you can also add videos on IGTV which can be utilized for showing off the product and how easily it can be applied.
All of these methods are great to use in order to start branding yourself online and building your home business.
Adding Income Streams
Even though you are looking at promoting Color Street there is no reason that you couldn’t sell other related products through affiliate marketing. This can work very well as there are many products that would tie in and you could Amazon as your product source.
A Closer Look At The Figures
When you start with Color Street to can earn 25% in commissions from just selling their nail products. This is a great commission for the MLM industry. Note:- many opportunities offer far greater incentives but beware these are quite often not legit companies so I would avoid joining these.
These are also paid weekly which can help when you are just starting out with cash flow.
You can even increase your commissions by 3%-10% depending on the retail volume you sell each month.
You can then progress through to the leadership phase which is when it becomes harder to operate as you now have to recruit others into the business opportunity. If you achieve this then you do start getting rewarded but only if they make sales.
Enroller Bonus – Earn 3% bonus on your level 1 and 2
Leadership Level Bonus
- Stylist earns 3% on level 1
- Senior Stylist earns 3% on level 1 and 2
- Team Leader earns 3% on level 1, 2 and 3
- Director and above earns 3% on level 1,2,3 and 4
Leadership Depth Bonus – Senior Director earns 1.5% down to level 5
This is why I love the affiliate marketing business model as you don’t have to worry about any of these figures just the commissions you are making which is some cases can be 50%.
The final phase, where you can earn money is the executive phase. But you have to be an Executive plus to qualify.
Team Bonus 1.5% team volume
Generational Bonus up to 3 generations of an additional 3% bonuses
Car / Lifestyle Bonus. Earn between $50-$1000 a month in bonuses
National Leadership Bonus at least 1% of the companies group volume
So have you taken all that in? Still looking to join or do you want an easier alternative?
Read on if yes to either…
How Much Does it Cost to Join Color Street
A starter kit valued at $250 can be purchased for just $129. It has everything you need to start as a stylist and supplier for Color Street.
What I like About Color Street
The best thing I like about Color Street is its unique product range. It is something that will never go out of fashion and ladies (and some men) are always looking to keep their nails looking good.
The pricing is very affordable especially if you are looking to get repeat orders even monthly.
I think the joining fee is very reasonable too at just $129
What I don’t like about Color Street
As the figures above showed the average stylist only earned just over 100 bucks a year which is hard to take if you are running a business.
Your growth realize on others working hard too and from experience I have always found this to be a difficult one to overcome.
Having to make sales volume each month to qualify for certain commissions. This can be hard especially when just starting out.
Overall my opinion about Color Street is a good one and if you work hard recruit plenty of more stylists you may just be able to grow to a fulltime income.
An Easier Alternative
As I have mentioned earlier having tried network marketing companies before I have swapped that business opportunity niche for an easier alternative, which is Affiliate Marketing.
I am earning money every month from affiliate marketing and some of this income is passive meaning I will get paid every month whether I am working or not. For me, this is a far better way to run a business.
- I don’t have to rely on others to sell anything
- I can sell whatever products I choose
- I don’t have to worry about chargebacks and product questions
- Most of the time I never even know the people that buy the products
