When you start to research work from home opportunities there are many that you will find. Discovering which of these opportunities is legit is another matter entirely. That’s why at Newbie affiliate I try and investigate as many as I can and let you know my findings.
In this review, I will be taking you on a full review of a site called Clickworker.

What is Clickworker
Clickworker is a microtask community, where you can register as a customer or a Clickworker. I am going to be researching what it takes to become a Clickworker. As a Clickworker you are an independent contractor (work for yourself) this is ideal as it gives you the flexibility to work from home, at hours to suit your need.
Clickworker was founded back in 2005. It has grown year on year both as a company and it’s membership base, which now stands at over 2 million people.
What does a Clickworker do
A Clickworker completes simple tasks online and when the task is completed you will get paid in cash. There are many different categories in which you can earn.
- Text – Creating unique content for websites, adding SEO text to enable the search engines to discover the content more easily. Product descriptions, Category text with SEO built-in. Advisory text to full blog articles can be assignments that could be on offer too. Company profiles and even translation, and this is just one section.
- Web Research – This could be lead generation, to address verification. Personal recruiting to the researching of competitors.
- Categorization and Tagging – Image and video tagging, video analysis, and product categorization are simple tasks you can earn money from.
- Product Data Management – Says what it is the production of data for companies to use especially with online stores.
- Surveys – Taking external and custom surveys for businesses
- AI Training Data – Creating voice recordings in various languages. Creating photos using different angles and motifs as per instructed. Video data sets and image annotations are other ways you can earn.
- Mobile Crowdsourcing – Retrieving customer insights from point of sale areas within a company website.
As you can see there are many different ways in which you can earn with Clickworker. Although there are sites such as Swagbucks and Oh My Dosh that does offer a legit way to earn money they are just limited to surveys.
How do you become a Clickworker
There is a simple process in order to become a Clickworker. First, from the website click on the register tab, you want to choose register as a clickworker and not a customer.
Being a Clickworker allows you to earn, there is no schedule of works, and you can work whenever you wish. All you need is an internet connection and a computer.
Next, choose your country of residence from the drop-down menu. Clickworker is a worldwide opportunity so you will hopefully find your home country.
You then have to fill in some personal data…
This is the normal, name address and confirmation that you have read the terms and conditions and privacy policy. Note they do claim that they NEVER give you details to a third party.
Click sign up.
You will then be sent an email to activate your account so make sure that you have signed up with a valid email that you can access.
Profile
Completing your profile is definitely something you will need to do. Take care and add everything you can as this is how you will earn more money.
How much can you make on Clickworker
The one question you are now dying to ask is exactly how much can you earn on Clickworker, so let’s answer it for you.
As you can see the jobs do vary within the pay scale. They may seem very low paid but if you can do several jobs within an hour you could get up to $10-$30 an hour. Some jobs offer bonuses too which could bump up your earnings.
Now don’t get me wrong I don’t think you are going to be able to give up your day job completing tasks on Clickworker but that said if there are enough jobs to keep you busy who knows.
Unfortunately, what I have found in the past is that there just are not enough tasks to keep you going, so I think it would be best to say that using Clickworker will only create you extra money every month and not full time living.

Inviting Friends
You can also earn by recruiting other people to join as a Clickworker, you can invite via email or use the unique referral link. I can earn 5 Euros for every person that joins but, they do have to earn 10 Euros before I get paid.
How do you get paid on Clickworker
Firstly, you will get paid in a currency relevant to where you are situated in the world. For me, I am in the UK so my currency would be Euros.
Payouts are either through Paypal, yet another confirmation to me that Clickworker is a real opportunity to make money. You can also add your bank details and have your earnings paid directly into your bank account. I don’t think there is a minimum payout so as soon as you have earned money it can be transferred out.
These payment options may vary depending on where you are around the world, but I am happy with the choice I was given.
Is Clickworker Legit
Like all online businesses Clickworker has their fair share of bad reviews but to be fair any that I have read have always been answered in a timely fashion by the Clickworker staff. Unlike opportunities such as Viral Pay or Inbox Dollars, they avoid claiming that you are going to make $500 a day.
Trustpilot is normally a good benchmark when it comes to whether a company is legitimate or not. The first thing I noticed is that they have claimed the name, and do answer every review. These are two things that say to me that they are a genuine company.
They have also got longevity any scam would be shut down within a few years.
Is being a Clickworker worth it
This all depends on what you are looking to achieve by being a Clickworker. If it is to supplement your existing income with some extra cash every month then yes this will probably get you the results you are looking for.
However, if you are looking to replace an income or build a solid full-time business online then maybe you should be looking at how I make a passive income online.
What do I like about Clickworker
There are a few things that I like about Clickworker.
- Being an established business that seems to be very transparent and honest
- You can get paid for doing really simple tasks
- There are many different tasks you can do
- You can get paid directly into your bank account or Paypal account
What am I not so keen about with Clickworker
Like so many businesses there are always things that do quite hit the mark, and Clickworker is no exception to this rule. Although, in my review, there’s not much I dislike.
- The first thing has to be the low pay for the tasks, yes I know the tasks are very simple but in order to make meaningful cash, you will need many tasks.
- Whether there will be enough tasks to go round and will I actually get to do any of them remains to be seen.
Wrapping Up
There are many things that are good about Clickworker and I think overall it is a company that I would trust to earn some extra cash. However, I do feel that there are better ways in which to earn money online so recommending that you go and join up would be unfair to you.
What I would recommend
