Registering for your free account is really easy, from the home page head for the top right of the website and click the register for a free account. A new window will open up where you can add a few details such as name email and a password, confirm that you are not a robot and then hit create.

You will then need to validate your account by clicking a link in the email that they send you, so be sure to use an email account that you can access.

What Niches Can You Advertise On Free Ad Forum

There are many categories within the free ad forum and all have options to place a free ad. Here is a list of the broad niches.

  • Business Opportunities
  • Classes
  • Real Estate
  • Community
  • For Sale
  • Jobs
  • Services
  • Vehicles

As affiliate marketers, you will be mainly looking to place ads into the business opportunity category, but you may be able to utilize some of the other categories too. For example one of the subcategories in Jobs is the internet, also Services where there are sub-categories such as computers, health and beauty, and financial services.

These all lend themselves to promoting other peoples services, just read through the terms and conditions when you sign up for their affiliate programs, they may have a clause saying no classified ads.

How Much Do The Ads Cost

As I already mentioned you can place free ads on the free ad forum, these will stay live for 90 days. However, you can bump your ad for 6 months as a featured ad which will cost you just $5, there is also a 12-month option too at $10.

I suggest testing your ads on the free platform if you get one that performs well then I would look to reinvest some of your commissions and then pay for a featured ad to run for 12 months.

There are a few other add on’s you can pay for such as flashing titles and emojis but for now just keep it to good quality advertising copy, as this normally wins in the end.

How To Place An Ad

From any page just hit the publish your listing, this opens up a new window and all you need to do add some general information.

list information for free ad forumCategory

Here is where you can choose the main category and then drill down into the subcategory. For this example I have chosen  “business opportunities” and then “start your own biz”

Title

Make this as detailed as you can and use relevant keywords that potential buyers would search for. Never use clickbait to get people to click through as this will get you a bad name. If you are new to the online marketing world Clickbait is when you promise one thing to get people to click through but when they arrive on your page it’s not quite what you promised.

Description

This is where you can use the WYSIWYG editor to produce a detailed description of what it is you are promoting. You can also add links to external websites, landing pages or direct to affiliate offers.

Again, be truthful and give the customer as much information as you can.

Images

You can drag and drop an image into your listing, this will be your main image that shows up on your ad listing. Many affiliate programs give you images that you can use or you can create your own by using a site like Relay That which allows you to create images using their royalty-free images stock. Plus you can automatically create other sized images to promote social networks and your blog.

Either way, you want to stand out in a crowd you are fighting for views especially if you are just posting a free ad.

Images are square and have a maximum size of 1MB

Location

Next, you choose your location, you can drill down to specific areas and cities.

Website Link

This is where you place your affiliate link, be sure to add some kind on tracking so that you know how many people have clicked on it. You can use a link shortener such as Bit.ly.com for this.

Keywords

Add in relevant keywords that people might be searching for, add as many as you can.

YouTube Video

You can also add a YouTube video, this can be one from your own account or from another account that allows you to share it. Simply paste the link and you are good to go.

Hit Publish

Double-check all the information for spelling mistakes and then hit publish! Skip over all the upgrade offers and check the box that says publish free ad.

Editing – Don’t panic if you realize there’s a mistake or things don’t look right after the ad is published. From your account, you can view all your listings and then click on the Edit link to make changes. Simple!

What I Like About Free Ad Forum

There are various things I like about the free ad forum, firstly the free ads themselves. Many sites offer free ads but when you actually start to place ads these are limited and you are forced to pay or upgrade.

Nothing like that here which I like.

Your ads run for 90 days which is great some advertising platforms it’s shorter at just 30 days which means you are continually needed to redo them.

Very simple process to follow when placing your ads.

Love that you can add YouTube videos too, especially if you are growing a YouTube channel too, More views more money 🙂

As regards to the quality and volume of traffic, I will have to get back to you on that one as I have just placed my first ad to test the platform.

What I Dislike About Free Ad Forum

The main thing I dislike is that you can’t choose to advertise across a wider area, you have to select a country, state and then city, this narrows down who will see the ad. Maybe I will target some ads specifically at certain towns and see how they perform.

The site does seem to time out quite frequently so if you are placing an ad get everything together first before your create your listing, otherwise, it’s a bit frustrating.

Final Thoughts

As free platforms go I found the free ad forum simple to use and although there are upgrades that they earn from I didn’t get the feeling that they just want your cash. Unlike some sites, I have been on!

Having posted a test ad it will interesting to see exactly what traffic I receive and whether any commissions were made, I will report back in a few months and let you know.

I think it’s worth spending a day publishing a variation of offers across a selection of niches and see what results you get, the worst-case scenario is that it’s a days time wasted. But just one sale could make it a very profitable experience.

  1. I wasn’t familiar with the Free Ad Forum, so this article was informative for me. As an internet marketer, I’m always interested to learn about free, or low-cost, advertising channels. Also, when trying to help others get started in the business, it’s nice to have some free alternatives to recommend. A lot of people don’t have a lot of extra cash when they’re starting out. Unfortunately, many free resources don’t produce a lot of results. It looks like this one is easy to work with, but I’m curious if you’ve had any results since writing the article. I may have to do a test case myself and see how it goes.
