Product Testing, do you really get to keep the products?
I use to have an Amazon business and one of the ways to get reviews was to give the products away so that people would then give you a great review. This use to work a treat and by getting more four and five-star reviews you gained more visibility for your product and then made more sales.
On first appearances, it looks like a similar business model with Product Testing USA… Although something is puzzling me but more on that later.
Let’s take a closer look at how it works and whether you do get to keep the products.
How Does Product Testing USA Work
The concept is really simple.
Product owners want to get honest feedback from people who have used the product and of course, they want to get more exposure for their products too.
With Product Testing USA you can request to test various products that are available from the website.
Note:- There is no guarantee that you will be selected to do the review, but if you are successful the product is then sent to you to be tested. In return for your feedback, you get to keep the product… Nice!
What Does It Cost And How Can You Join Product Testing USA.
Before I go into both these questions you must be aware that this company is only set up to accept people from the USA, UK, and Australia.
How much does it cost
Joining is totally free of charge, so there is no barrier and you can start immediately.
How Can You Join
You can join by signing up for the offer you wish to test. Note again that they only say you have a chance to be selected for this product. Enter your details and make sure it’s an email address that you check as they contact you via email if you are selected.
After the sign up you have a survey to fill in and offer to look at but this only takes a few minutes and then you are done.
Don’t expect a quick answer, be patient… as they good things come to those who wait 🙂
Is Product Testing USA A Legitimate Company
Yes Product Testing USA is a totally legitimate company. People are receiving free products to test and then keeping them as started previously.
Although like anything nobody is going to give products away without wanting something in return. You do have to agree to be contacted via email, SMS or phone with offers from their sponsors.
This is great for the product owners as they give away one product in return for, let us say 100 peoples details, they know they are all looking at this product. So they then use the details to market deals for the same product or similar ones.
There is nothing wrong with this sort of marketing and of course, you can exercise your right to opt-out of this communication if you wish.
How Do You Get Paid
You get paid in products or gift cards.
There are no cash rewards on Product Testing USA so if you are looking to earn an extra income then check out this article on ways to earn money online
That said some of the products are worth having and I suppose you could sell them on to make a few bucks (I never said that though) Be sure to read the terms and conditions to.
If you are lucky enough to receive a product to test and review then this is what you have to provide to meet the requirements.
- A unique 500-word minimum review post
- A video review of not less than one minute
- Also, add some photos
All of this information will be shared on the Product Testing website and throughout their social media profiles, once everything has been okayed you are then cleared to keep the product.
At the end of the day if you feel that you would not be able to meet these requirements then I would consider looking at a different way to earn some extra money
Make Money From Product Testing USA
There is a way to make money from recommending Product Testing USA and that is if you join their affiliate program. I was intrigued by this as they only give away products and gift cards.
I attempted to discover more, as maybe I was missing out on something here. After clicking through I was taken to a site called Clickwork7 this gave me the choice of joining as an advertiser or publisher.
From here you were prompted to email them although the link didn’t seem to be working correctly when I tried so I hit a brick wall.
Watch this space though as when I get more details I will pass them on.
What Do I Like About Product Testing USA
- The simplicity of how the website works – The process is super easy to understand and everything is set out well
- Easy to join and get started – Just click on the product you want to test and add your details
- Good product range – Something for everyone here and some well-known brands to
The website gives you a good vibe which is always a good thing considering that there are so many scams about. There are no major red flags that I would be worried about.
What I Dislike About Product Testing USA
- You are not guaranteed to receive any free products – The free products are limited so you may never even receive anything.
- You can’t make any money – If you are looking to make money then this website is not one to join as all you receive is gift cards and products.
- Only limited to three countries at present – Shame this is only available in the USA, UK and Australia hopefully it can be expanded across other nations soon.
- Affiliate Program is unavailable – Currently, I found that I was unable to join the affiliate program which is a disappointment as it would have been great to see how you could earn money from recommending this site.
Summing Up
The concept of Product Testing USA is a good one although having been a member of similar sites you will have to be very patient when it comes to receiving products to test.
If you don’t mind waiting then this could be something you may consider looking at more closely, personally I would prefer to make my money and then buy the products I want to buy it is much quicker 🙂

Thank you for this useful review of Product Testing. I recently retired and I’m looking for ways to earn extra cash.
There are a couple of things that I don’t like about Product Testing. 1) You can’t get cash. Maybe you can sell the product if you get a chance to test a product. But after you test it, it’s probably hard to sell. 2) As you noted in your second video, before you even get a chance to get selected to test a product, you have to go through a survey, which is essentially a series of sponsor offers, which may contact you by phone or e-mail. I don’t like that.
Do you have experience with any other similar company that pays cash and it is less intrusive? I really want to find some decent ways to earn some extra cash. Thank you.
